User Name/Password Help

If you couldn’t log in to the Member section of the CSEA Web site, there could be a simple solution to your problem. Read the frequently asked questions below to find a solution to the problem you are experiencing.

Is my e-mail address the same as my user name?
No. The CSEA Web site does not permit a full e-mail address to be used as a user name. However, the part of your e-mail address that comes before the @ symbol is entered as the default user name during account registration. So, if your e-mail address is joesmith@yahoo.com your default user name would be joesmith (If you customized your user name during registration, your user name would be something else.)

My log in doesn’t work. Can I just create a new account?
Each CSEA member can only have one active account at a time. This helps us protect your privacy and enables us to connect you to personalized information on the Web site.

I have forgotten my password.
Yes. I would like to have my password automatically sent to me via e-mail. You will be asked to verify your user name. (Be sure to check the e-mail account you used when you set up your account and be sure that your user name is correct.)

I have forgotten my username and password.
Yes. I would like to have my user name and password automatically sent to me via e-mail. You must have your CSEA Member ID to use this option. If you don’t know your CSEA Member ID please contact your field office. (Be sure to check the e-mail account you used when you set up your account.)

I requested my name and/or password via e-mail, and never received it.
Possible reason:
1. You entered a different e-mail address when you set up your account.
2. You entered an incorrect user name when requesting your password.
3. You have not yet created an account at csea.com.
4. You have not visited the Web site in over a year.
5. Your school/district is not allowing e-mail from csea.com. If that is the case you will have to try from an outside computer. You may also request from your school that they allow e-mail from all csea.com addresses.
6. Your browser may be set to not accept cookies; You must enable this function in order to log in.

Other Tips
User names and passwords are case-sensitive If your user name is “JoeSmith” and you enter the user name “joesmith,” it will not work.

Spaces are allowed in user names. It is acceptable to use spaces in your user name, such as “Joe M. Smith.” However, spaces are not permitted as part of your password.
